The object of the Robots and Algorithms Invitational is to test the competitors on their knowledge and skills for interpreting, designing a solution, and coding the best algorithms that will address the challenges of each Round of the Invitational. Robots will be the virtual environment for the competitors until the moment they reach the Worldwide Finals when they will have to code the real ones.

This year's theme is "Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems facing us today." The United Nations has identified some of the hardest challenges in the world today in its Millennium Goals. This year the Imagine Cup uses these ambitious challenges as a guiding light to inspire change all over the world. Learn more about the eight Millennium Goals.
